Lake Erie marshes conservation easement -
Sandusky Co.

In 2006, 229 acres of high quality wetlands and associated uplands in Sandusky County were permanently protected through a conservation easement now held by the Black Swamp Conservancy. DU provided funds from the Northwest Ohio Wetlands Initiative NAWCA grant to purchase the easement, which protects the wetlands and uplands on the property from development, and ensures they will benefit waterfowl and other wildlife forever.
