Greenhead Wildlife Management Area

 The Greenhead Wildlife Management Area project in Clay County was completed in May. The wetland on this state-owned Wildlife Area had become choked with bulrush and cattail, greatly limiting the value of this site as waterfowl habitat. The project included using large scrapers to remove approximately six inches of material from the wetland, including the undesirable plants and sediment. Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will now be able to better manage the site and improve habitat conditions for waterfowl and other wildlife.
