He was standing in front of this body of legislators with a duck call hanging from his neck, telling them about taking his first banded duck.  As he spoke the room got very quiet as everyone listed to the story.  His passion for the out of doors and duck hunting was there for all to see.   

This boy’s passion is the same passion I see on the faces of volunteers and supporters of Ducks Unlimited.  It is the same passion that has led me to be involved as State Chairman of Oregon Ducks Unlimited.  To have helped restore or protect wetlands producing skies full of waterfowl for future generations is a worthwhile endeavor.  It is certainly my way of giving back for a lifetime of outdoor adventures and better ensures that our grandsons and granddaughters have the same opportunities that we have enjoyed.
