ROBESON COUNTY GAME LANDS
Ashpole Swamp Acquisition

Purpose: To protect 42 acres of bottomland hardwoods along Ashpole Swamp. The purpose of this project was to add additional acreage to NC Wildlife Resources Commission Game Lands through fee title acquisition. This area will be managed by NCWRC to provide additional hunting opportunities.

Location: The project is located along Ashpole Swamp in Robeson County approximately 4.5 miles southwest of Fairmont, NC.

Habitat Types: Bottomland Hardwoods

Timeline: This project was initiated in 1990 and completed in 1992
