Hultquist property 

On the last day of Ducks Unlimited's (DU) 2006 fiscal year, June 30, we completed the acquisition of the Hultquist property in Kearney County. This 160-acre property was acquired with funds provided by the Rainwater Basin Joint Venture and the Nebraska Environmental Trust. It is the desire of these two important DU partners that the property be restored to native grasslands and wetlands. DU will be responsible for restoring the property and ensuring that a perpetual conservation easement be placed on the tract to provide perpetual protection. When these actions are completed, DU will sell the property to a conservation buyer with the proceeds from the sale deposited into DU’s Revolving Lands program.
