The Missouri DU State Council would like to invite you, your family and fellow committee members to the 2008 Annual Ducks Unlimited State Convention. We have a lot to celebrate and YOU are the reason. We throw a great party weekend and hope you can make it this year. The registration fee ($150/couple, $100/single) covers all meetings, the Friday Casino Night , Sat AM Duck Hunter's Breakfast, Saturday Awards Luncheon and the Saturday Night Banquet. You’ll need to arrange your lodging through the Lodge of the Four Seasons, Lake of the Ozarks. The nightly rate is $97.00.

Just what is a STATE CONVENTION??? Consider this a weekend for the Ducks that you and your family can have a great time for a super price. The agenda will include plenty of activities, great meetings and training seminars, scrumptious food and a few cold Budweisers if you choose. The Lodge has a beautiful facility with pool, weight rooms, spa, golf course and is convenient to shopping if you please. You can book condos or hotel rooms. SO - you really need to have a good reason to not make it! We will be celebrating our successes in making Missouri one of the TOP 10 states in the Nation - AGAIN!

Missouri is considered a leader in DU innovation, strategies and implementation. It could not be done without the fantastic team of volunteers throughout the state. This is our chance to celebrate and congratulate. Meet your fellow volunteers from across the state and have a great time at Hospitality Central figuring out what works and what doesn’t. There will be many awards presented throughout the weekend. We are really good at what we do and as a team we are da best!

When you load up the SUV and head home Sunday morning, you will be on DU overload. You will be thinking DU and what did I learn that will make my chapter bump it up a notch for 2008! Hopefully you will have many committee members from your chapter with you - because you will need some help remembering all the great ideas!

You are a part of the Missouri DU family. You will meet lifelong friends in this organization. You will cherish your successes in the DU mission. When you and your children stop to watch that flock of mallards over the marsh, or drop a line in your favorite fishing hole you will be proud to say “I helped make a difference. I have left this place better for my kids and theirs.” Yes, we did!

RECRUITMENT – that’s what it’s all about for years to come. Recruit new volunteers, Retain the old and new volunteers and Recognize DU cannot do what we do without YOU!
