DU accepts second conservation easement in Minnesota

Ducks Unlimited completed its second conservation easement in Minnesota by working with Fritz Jensen to protect 160 acres in perpetuity. This is the first of three planned phases, which will eventually protect 500 acres. The Jensen property is located in Freeborn County in southern Minnesota near the city of Albert Lea. The property is directly adjacent to the 1,875-acre Geneva Lake, which is a focal point of DU’s conservation delivery in the Albert Lea Emphasis Area of Living Lakes. Geneva Lake is one of only 39 shallow lakes in the entire state legally designated for wildlife management purposes by the DNR
