2009 Sponsor Artist of the Year Competition Download Invitation Letter (see below for rules and entry form) Dear Friends, It is my great honor to invite you to take part in the Michigan Ducks Unlimited Sponsor Artist of the Year competition. The competition will coincide with our state convention, which is being held at a new time of the year. This year's convention will be held June 20-22 and will be at a new location: Treetops Resort in Gaylord, Michigan. It is our hope that you will find our cause worth of your time and creative energy. The Sponsor program provides incentives for fund that go directly towards the acquisition of key habitat that, in turn, not only benefits plant and animal species, but also the health and well being of generations to come. The Sponsor Artist of the Year competition has long been a coveted award due to the great amount of publicity generated for the winning artist throughout the state. This year we will again have a cash purchase award to the winning image of fifteen hundred dollars ($1500). I, myself, along with all Michigan Ducks Unlimited volunteers and member look forward to absorbing the visual feast that the Sponsor Artist competition provides us. This year, you have your choice of three different species to choose from. You can depict either a Bufflehead, Redhead, or Greenwing Teal. We ask that you choose only one, make it your own, and let the creativity fly! As in years past, I will be providing you with a list of rules and artist participation agreement statements. Please take the time to read each and fill out the appropriate forms.
