Welcome to Harford County Ducks Unlimited
What's our Role? A significant part of our role within DU is to raise the grass roots money that is needed to provide for On the Ground Conservation. Typically the money we raise thru the fund raising event system is leveraged manyfold by using matching grants and Federal dollars.
FUNdRaisers:
The Harford County Chapter puts together 6 FUNdraisers a year, including:
Sporting Clays shoots, Golf Tournaments, Country Music Jam, Kids Days, Sponsor Hunts and the traditional Fundraising Dinner - Bull and Oyster Roast. You will often find Harford committee members who work hard together for conservation also play hard together too. We are avid sportsmen (and women), and we enjoy Hunting, Shooting Clays, Fishing, Golfing.
We are active participants in the Maryland Woodduck Initiative (
www.mwdi.net) , and the chapter maintains and enhances local habitat in the Days Cove area of the Gunpowder River and Bird River, as well as smaller projects elsewhere around the county and state.
We meet at least on the first Tuesday of the month (and sometimes more often) in BelAir or Fallston MD. To get involved (all are welcomed) contact Jason Schlosser at (410)440-5330 or
schlossmx3@att.net
