Purpose: This project involved replacement of an overflow pipe with a suitable water control structure to enhance habitat management capability on the site. Enhancement activities created 12 acres of semi-permanent wetlands and 8 acres of moist-soil habitat on Blue Grass Army Depot. Water management for this project is dependent on winter precipitation and run-off from surrounding drainages. This project will be managed to provide shallow water foraging habitat migrating ducks and geese.

Location: The project is located on Blue Grass Army Depot in Madison County approximately 5 miles south of Richmond, KY.
