Iowa DU License Plate

Purchase Iowa Ducks Unlimited license plates and
do your part to conserve Iowa Wetlands!

DU proudly announces the Iowa Ducks Unlimited License Plate. This program was officially launched at the Iowa State Convention in February 2008. We need 500 paid applications initially to begin manufacturing the plates. To purchase an Iowa Ducks Unlimited license plate, just follow these four easy steps:

1.  Complete the application form.  

2. Write a $35 (for standard plate) or $60 (for personalized plate) check payable to Iowa Ducks Unlimited.

3.  Mail application form and your check to Iowa Ducks Unlimited License Plate, P.O. Box 34, Pocahontas, IA 50574.

4. When notified by the local county treasurer, go to your county treasurer’s office and pick up your Iowa Ducks Unlimited plate.

DU will receive $28 and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources will receive $7 for each plate purchased. DU will dedicate the revenue to help fund protection, restoration and enhancement of wetland habitats throughout Iowa. The DNR will put the funds toward Iowa’s Resource Enhancement and Protection (REAP) and Wildlife Diversity programs. The ducks will thank you from Pool 19 on the Mississippi River, to the floodplain of the Nishnabotna River, to the Prairie Pothole region in northern Iowa.
