How To Enter
There are two ways to enter.

(2) Type or print your name, Ducks Unlimited member number, date of birth, address, day time telephone number, along with your recipe’s name, ingredients, and instructions, on one side only of a sheet of 8 ½” x 11” plain white paper and mail to:

Limit one (1) recipe per entry. Limit three (3) entries per person. Entry materials will not be returned and become the property of Ducks Unlimited. Entries must be received by March 30, 2007, to be eligible. By submitting entry materials, entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of Ducks Unlimited and the Ducks Unlimited Culinary Council. Ducks Unlimited is not responsible for late, lost, illegible, misdirected, mutilated, or incomplete entries.
Eligibility
The contest is only open to legal residents of the United States, who are at least 18 years old at time of entry and members of Ducks Unlimited. Employees of Ducks Unlimited and their families are not eligible to enter. Only original recipes will be eligible to win. Contestants must verify on the entry form that the recipe is their original creation, and is not borrowed, previously published or copied from another source. Tentative winners must sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability release within five (5) days of notification and shall warrant that their recipe submission is original and unpublished and that Ducks Unlimited has the right to publish it in its magazine, in a future edition of a Hunt & Home cookbook, on the Ducks Unlimited Web site and through any other medium selected by Ducks Unlimited. In the event a signed affidavit and eligibility release is not received by Ducks Unlimited within five (5) days of notification, the finalist may be disqualified.
Contest Rules
All recipes submitted must use wild duck or wild goose as an ingredient. No other particular or specific ingredients are required. All entries must adhere to the submission requirements described above or be subject to disqualification. Entries will be screened at the national headquarters of Ducks Unlimited to ensure that they meet the entry requirements.
Judging
Entries will be coded and contestant names shielded from the four judging chefs of the Ducks Unlimited Culinary Council (each a “Chef” and collectively, the “Chefs”). Each entry will be sent to the Chefs and each Chef will give a “yes” or “no” vote based on the following criteria: (a) readily available ingredients, (b) creativity, and (c) user friendly to prepare. All “yes” vote getters will be re-submitted to the Chefs and each Chef will grade in each of the aforementioned criteria based on a five-point scale. The top eight highest scoring entries (or more than eight, in the event of a tie) will be resubmitted to the Chefs and each Chef will take 20 points and distribute and apply them to the final eight entries. The top five highest ranking entries will be the top five qualifiers. Any ties will be broken by additional rounds of voting. The top five recipes will be prepared, tasted and ranked in prize order by the Chefs. Tentative winners will be notified on or about May 1, 2007. Any entrant who fails to respond to communications to the phone number and address provided within five (5) days of the communication or who fails to return a fully executed affidavit of eligibility and liability release within that time period may be deemed to forfeit his or her selection and prize and another winner may be selected.

Miscellaneous Rules
This contest is void where prohibited by law. All taxes, fees and required insurance (if applicable) on prizes are the sole responsibility of the winners. By participating in the contest, entrants agree to be bound by the contest rules and the decisions of the Chefs and Ducks Unlimited. No substitution or transfer of prize is permitted. There is no cash equivalency, and no person other than the winner may take possession of the prize. By accepting the prize, winner consents to the use of his or her name, likeness and biographical information in advertising and promotional material without additional compensation. All entries become the property of Ducks Unlimited. By entering this contest, you grant Ducks Unlimited the right to edit, adapt, copyright and publish any or all recipe entries and the right to use these entries in any media form or in any manner without attribution or further compensation. Firearms winner must pass all background checks required by federal, state and local laws in order to possess and/or own a firearm and be legally eligible to possess and/or own a firearm. Failure to comply with all federal, state, and local laws including, but not limited to eligibility requirements for the possession and/or ownership of a firearm, will result in the forfeiture of that prize and another winner will be selected. Ducks Unlimited accepts no responsibility or liability for acceptance or use of a Prize, and each Prize winner is responsible for the proper safe handling, use and storage of their Prize as well as obtaining proper instruction for the safe use, operation and handling of their Prize. ATV Prize and Boat Prizes will be delivered to the respective winners at the respective prize’s authorized dealer or distributor in the continental U.S. reasonably close in proximity to the respective winner's residence. Firearm Prize will be delivered to winner at a licensed firearms dealer in the continental U.S. reasonably close in proximity to the winner's residence. ATV Prize winner, Boat Prize winner and Shotgun Prize winner must personally retrieve the prize within 30 days of written notification of delivery and must present adequate personal identification and evidence of legally required insurance, if any, or an alternative winner shall be selected and the original winner’s rights to the respective prize shall be automatically forfeited.
