Georgia DU is proud to present
the 2008-2009 Decoy/Shotgun Program
Sponsored by Anheuser-Busch
In July of 2008, each Georgia DU chapter was supplied with a unique pintail decoy (made in the USA by
Jennings Decoy Company). These decoys are hand made and hand-painted by Jennings Decoy Company. The decoys are all individually numbered (1 of 120). Each chapter is free to sell this decoy however they see fit (giveaway, raffle, auction, etc.). The person who purchases/wins each decoy at any given banquet is then entered into a drawing for a
One of One Browning Citori Gran Lightning Over/Under shotgun. This shotgun is generously underwritten by Anheuser-Busch. The program, now in it's eighth year of existence, has raised in excess of $250,000 for wetlands conservation in Georgia and throughout North America. This gun is beautifully detailed with grade-six wood, as well as custom engraving by a master engraver from here in Georgia, Michael Collins. The gun in years past has routinely appraised for $12,000.
The 2007-2008 winner was drawn at the Georgia DU State Convention on Saturday July 12th, 2008. The winner was none other than District Chairman, Neely Raper of Rome.
