Clean Water Action Center - West Coast and Hawaii

Water is one of the most important resources to people and waterfowl on the West Coast. Losing wetlands to drainage or pollution puts an increased burden on an already stressed resource. In Hawaii, habitat losses are taking bird populations to the brink of extinction.

Check out these sample letters to the editor, personalize them and submit them to your local newspaper to spread the word about the importance of clean water where you live! (Note: Letters to the editor are in .doc format and will open in Microsoft Word)

After sending a letter, contact your Members of Congress and remind them of the importance of wetlands and clean water to Californians and Hawaiians.
