Clean Water Action Center - Great Plains

Isolated wetlands like prairie potholes are at greatest risk to being lost under the new, weaker Clean Water Act regulations.

The Great Plains are the source of much of America's food, and where many of North America's ducks and geese are reared - protecting water in the Great Plains is critically important to the entire country.

Check out these sample letters to the editor, personalize them and submit them to your local newspaper to spread the word about the importance of clean water where you live! (Note: Letters to the editor are in .doc format and will open in Microsoft Word)

After sending a letter, contact your Members of Congress and remind them of the importance of wetlands and clean water to the Great Plains.
