Waterfowl Hunters: Support Clean Water
Will Primos on the Clean Water Restoration Act

"I spend many hours fine-tuning my calls to better enable hunters to lure ducks and geese to the blinds of my customers. For me it is really all about the ducks, clean water and the people. Up to 96 percent of the United States' prairie pothole wetlands that waterfowl depend on for breeding have had their Clean Water Act protections withdrawn. Support restoring Clean Water Act protections and ensure that these wetlands are safe from drainage and destruction, and that they keep producing ducks. My calls can't bring in the birds if there aren't any to begin with. Clean water for us and the ducks—I can't think of a better combination." –Will Primos |
The Baucus-Klobuchar compromise for clean water is a critical piece of legislation for wetlands and waterfowl. Tens of millions of acres of wetlands have lost their protection from drainage and destruction—wetlands that waterfowl depend on throughout the flyways, from the breeding grounds in the prairies to the wintering grounds in the South, and everywhere in between. The Clean Water Restoration Act would restore these protections, while guaranteeing that cumbersome burdens aren't put on America's farmers and ranchers.
Take action today: send a letter or call your senators, write a letter to the editor of your local paper and tell a friend to join the fight for clean water.
Now is the time to stand up for clean water and wetlands!
