Ducks Unlimited Greenwings - The Future of Ducks Unlimited

Greenwings are youth members of Ducks Unlimited. There is no age minimum, but the $15 annual Greenwing membership ends at age 18, when the adult membership level ($25 annually) begins.

Greenwing membership benefits include:

  • A DU membership card and certificate
  • Greenwing decals (age 11 and younger)
  • 2 unique DU decals (one duck head and one DU shield) for ages 12-17
  • 4 issues of the Puddler  interactive online magazine and printed editions of the Puddler (age 11 and younger)
  • 6 issues of Ducks Unlimited Magazine with a special Greenwing section (age 12-17 years)
  • For older Greenwings access to the Members-Only section of the DU Web site, www.ducks.org

Legacy Greenwing Program

For a one time contribution of $200, the Legacy Greenwing membership covers a youth's Greenwing membership through age 17, then his or her adult membership through age 21. Each Legacy Greenwing receives a special Legacy Greenwing pin, plus all of the above listed Greenwing membership benefits according to age group.

In addition, all of the monies raised through the Legacy Greenwing program in Arkansas are earmarked for a Legacy Greenwing project on the prairie breeding grounds of Canada. Each youth's name is cast onto a bronze plaque erected on the site of the project. Photographs of the plaque and project are provided to the youth when the project dedication is held.

Arkansas' recently selected its fifth Legacy Greenwing project, the Mellish Uplands Project, a 160 acre project in Allen, Saskatchewan, to be named the Tom Smalling Marsh Project. For more information on the project and a Legacy Greenwing membership enrollment form, click here.

Arkansas Greenwing Conservation Camp

In addition to nation wide youth membership programs from Ducks Unlimited, Arkansas Ducks Unlimited offers a unique conservation camp to teens age 15 to 17 each year. The camp is the only program of its kind in the United States and is open to a maximum of 18 teens from Arkansas. Teens are nominated by Ducks Unlimited volunteers through each of the 13 volunteer districts in the state to attend the four day camp. The camp is held at no cost to the teen in early February at Five Oaks Duck Lodge in Humphrey, Arkansas. For a great overview of the activities at the camp, click the "Talkin' Outdoors at the the Corner Cafe" video link below.
